General Costs

 

Activity Fees

Some schools require a fee per student to subsidise or cover various expenses the student might incur throughout the year.  The Board of Trustees have decided that Bay of Islands College's Activity Fee will be $45.00 per student or $75.00 per family.

 

Specific Subject Costs

Some subjects do have particular costs that students need to pay, eg materials used, workbooks needed etc.  These are paid as required.  You can view the Stationery Requirements List   and to view the general fees that may be charged for these subjects please see the Stationary requirements for each year level in the Enrolment Menu of this Website.  All subjects require the student to have the appropriate stationery: books, pens, pencils etc needed to do work.  All stationery items are available from the school uniform/stationery shop

 

Text books and library books are also loaned by the college for student use. Students are responsible to keep these books in good condition.  Damage to or loss of books must be paid for.

 

Uniform Requirements

All uniform items (except black shoes) are available from the uniform/stationery shop located next to the canteen.  Uniform is compulsory for all students from Year 9-12.  Students in year 13 can wear tidy mufti clothing.

Field Trips/Activities

Class trips away from school, visiting performers or involvement in sporting or cultural groups may incur further costs.

 

With all costs, if parents face a genuine problem in meeting a commitment, please contact the Principal or Guidance Counsellor.  Arrangements can be made to have fees and other costs on a 'Time Payment' basis.
