Bay of Islands College offers excellent facilities for students and staff. Some of these include:

	Bay of Islands College Library The library is spacious and extremely well resourced. Students have access to a wealth of information in print and online using the many computers available.
	*Te Toka Whakakotahi Marae* A full marae complex with whare nui, whare kai, carving and craft centre and associated facilities. The marae is also available for community use outside of school hours.
	*ASB Community Recreation Centre* The centre includes squash courts, full-size gym, weights room, aerobics room, heated swimming pool. This $1.3 million facility is probably the only one of its kind on a school site in New Zealand.
	*Music Performance* The music suite contains a performance area and professional recording studio. A wide range of instruments and lessons are also available to students with an interest in music.
	Life Technology/Home Economics In 2002 the life technology block received a major upgrade and now includes a state-of-the-art kitchen and training area.
	*Computers/Technology* Three fully equipped computer rooms with projectors, scanners, printers and broadband internet. The school also has digital and video cameras as well as mobile laptops available for student use at school.

The school also has a completely new hall and performing arts area. This contains a professional sound/lighting/music system, staging and data projector with a huge screen.

A video conferencing unit is also available. Students taking particular subjects are able to talk face-to-face with tutors at the correspondence school and other locations. Recently students have also been able to chat with celebrities such as Norm Hewitt and Ben Lummis..

Sporting facilities at the college are excellent with equipment for a variety of sports, including beach volleyball available.
