Bay of Islands College is a co-ed year 9-13 decile1 secondary school located in Kawakawa, Northland, New Zealand and covers 25 acres of attractively landscaped property including sporting fields and courts.  The school has a roll of about 420 students and serves a wide area of the Bay of Islands and Mid-North district.

Students at Bay of Islands College will receive:

	A safe friendly environment in which they can reach their potential
	A broad curriculum taught by specialist teaching staff
	Small class sizes at all levels so each student can receive more individual attention
	Excellent facilities to improve the learning environment

Our philosophy is that all students should be given ample opportunity to reach their full potential, developing self-worth and pride in achievement. As well as academic pursuits, students are involved in a wide range of extra-curricular activities, particularly Maori culture, with around 87% of our students being Maori. Also twenty different sporting and cultural codes are offered, involving approximately 350 pupils. Sporting and music successes are high.

The College has an open door policy and we welcome parents, caregivers and members of the community to visit and see for themselves the great things happening at Bay of Islands College.
